GF-EV EMS
The Environmental Management System, or EMS, is the tool used to communicate environmental and programmatic risk to the commander, as well as to ensure the health of the installation’s environmental program. An EMS is a systematic approach ensuring that the environmental requirements of an organization are properly managed and integrated into installation operations. It facilitates risk and management decisions through integrated planning and cross-functional coordination. All environmental programs are managed under an overarching business process of the Marine Corps EMS, with requirements outlined in MCO 5090.2, Volume 2.
