U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Brian W. Cavanaugh, Commanding General, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Marine Forces Command, Commander, Marine Forces Northern Command, speaks with Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Doe, Director, Naval Weapons Station Yorktown Public Works during a tour of the barracks following the grand opening of a barracks on Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, Virginia, October 26, 2023. The barracks will house Marines assigned to Marine Corps Security Force Regiment. During the tour, Cavanaugh discussed the features and amenities of the barracks with the Regiment's Commanding Officer, Col. Scott M. Reed. MCSFR organizes, trains, equips, and provides Naval and combatant commanders with anti-terrorism security forces who conduct expeditionary security operations and provide security for strategic assets.
