The Renewable Energy Program Office (REPO) hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at MCLB Albany on 28 April2016 to formally kick-off their solar farm project on the installation. Anumber of officials representing the Marine Corps, the Navy, the State of Georgia and Georgia Power participated in the ceremony. The MCB Quantico Energy Team hosted a booth at the Modern Day Marine Expo in September 2015, providing attendees with useful information on how to save energy on base. Marine Corps Energy strives to create a common Energy Ethos throughout the Marine Corps, and draw the correlation between saving energy and mission success on the battlefield.
