Service members participated in the Circuit Rider Course (CRC) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, July 24-25 2019. The CRC is the most advanced motorcycle course offered to Marines, Sailors and their families stationed at Cherry Point. The course teaches cutting-edge riding techniques to train the participants on how to deal with real world situations while on the road. All of the techniques are taught at real world speeds, giving the students a chance to familiarize themselves with the techniques while in a controlled, safe environment. This training is intended to reduce motorcycle mishaps for service members.

Service members participated in the Yamaha Champions Riding School motorcycle training class at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, June 13-14, 2019. The school teaches competition proven techniques of motorcycle control to riders whose goals are to be safer at higher speeds. The MCAS Cherry Point Motorcycle Mentorship Program facilitated the training for service members to increase motorcycle safety. 2018 Semper Ride Expo and Poker Run at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 5, 2018. The expo consisted of a closed course loop around MCB Camp Pendleton which had pre-designated stations where the riders chose a card for the best poker hand. The event culminated with a motocross demonstration and free prize giveaways. Semper Ride is a partnership between Headquarters Marine Corps Safety Division and Marine Corps Community Services that brings awareness to motorcycling the right way through action-packed riding events, as well as the expo that is open to all active and retired service members, their families and civilian employees. The Semper Ride Motorcycle Expo will consist of interactive exercises, giveaways, safety training and a poker run. The event will be at the 22-area parade deck from 6:30 a.m. till 1 p.m., at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Oct. 5, 2018. As of October 1st, 2018, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton will no longer accept a drivers license for bicyclists looking to access the base. To obtain base access cyclists must go to the Visitor’s Center located next to the MCB Camp Pendleton Main Gate with an identification card to be entered into the Defense Biometric Identification System. Once you have been entered into the new identification system, you will receive an access card that is valid for one year. Marine Corps Community Services hosted a Semper Ride event at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., June 27, 2018. The event was created to educate Marines about motorcycle safety awareness to reduce motorcycle mishaps throughout the Marine Corps. Semper Ride speakers gave safety presentations and professional motorcycle riders performed a freestyle motocross demo.
