U.S. Marine Corps Major Frank "Gorda" Colpo, Director of Aviation, G3/5, Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) is promoted to Lieutenant Colonel at a ceremony at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Virgina, on Feb. 1, 2024. The newly-minted LtCol celebrated surrounded by his family, friends, and fellow Marines at the site honoring the sacrifices made by Marines in defense of the United States for more than two centuries. MCICOM exercises command and control of Marine Corps installations via regional commanders in order to provide oversight, direction, and coordination of installation services and to optimize support to the Operating Forces, tenants, and activities.
