FIRE BASE SAENZ, Helmand province, Afghanistan - Marines with Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, leave their personal protective equipment hung neatly aside their ammunition trucks. The Marines leave their PPE on the gun line to be ready at all times for a fire mission, whether they get a call for fire at mid-afternoon or midnight.
