Major General Jason Woodworth is currently serving as the Commander, Marine Corps Installations Command and Assistant Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics (Facilities).
Born in upstate New York and raised in Connecticut, he graduated from Colgate University and was commissioned in 1993. Upon the completion of TBS and flight school MajGen Woodworth was assigned to MCAS Miramar as a FA-18 pilot. He served with VMFA-314 during multiple operational deployments to the CENTCOM AOR; he transferred to MCAS Yuma, serving as a MAWTS-1 Instructor and deployed to the Middle East; with VMFA-323 as a department head he again deployed to CENTCOM; during his joint tour at DTRA he served as an Arms Control Inspection Team Chief in Darmstadt, Germany travelling to various former soviet republics; after which he commanded VMFA-323 during a deployment in support of OEF and OIF.
As a Colonel, MajGen Woodworth commanded MCAS Miramar and served as the executive assistant to the Director of the Marine Corps staff.
As a General officer, he commanded MCIWEST-MCB Camp Pendleton and served as the director of Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Manpower Plans and Policy.
MajGen Woodworth attended top level school at the Royal College of Defense Studies in London, England; he holds a masters degree from Kings College London, and the University of Oklahoma.
