Energy Action Month
October is National Energy Action Month, as designated by our Commander-in-Chief and supported by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Navy. MCICOM GF-1 is excited to help drive Energy Action Month activities across Marine Corps Installations throughout the month of October. The goals of Energy Action Month are to raise awareness about energy use and encourage energy-saving actions in Marines, civilians, and their families. It is MCICOM’s hope that efficient actions learned during Energy Action Month will become sustained habits, leading to increased mission effectiveness, enhanced energy security, and reduced costs.
Energy Ethos

"Energy is a valuable resource that is critical for Marine Corps readiness and success. To be effective, we must use energy efficiently. We must develop ways to reduce our use and explore new technologies both on the battlefield and on our installations."
